Dutchess County Civil Service Test Offered for Beacon Firefighter Positions
The civil service test to be eligible to be a paid firefighter for the City of Beacon was offered on June 27, 2009.

Firefighter Fisch Receives Hudson Valley Forty Under 40 Award
POUGHKEEPSIE (9 March 2009) - On Monday, forty persons from throughout the Hudson Valley were awarded the Forty Under 40 Award.
BEACON (15 January 2009) - Another year completed with yet another increase in the number of alarms responded to by the Dept. The year 2008 closed out with just under 1,800 incidents, A dramatic growth from the 400 calls of 20 years ago.
